Staying active and maintaining natural outdoor spaces is important to Shorewood residents.
The Village’s Parks and Recreation Department supplies exceptional year-round recreational programming for residents of all ages and abilities, including athletic leagues and camps, group fitness and dance classes and a long list of cultural, educational and enrichment offerings. Accompanying the programs are 17 municipal parks, the largest of which is the modern, 50-acre Cene's Four Seasons Park on Seil Road, east of the railroad tracks. Amenities featured at Village parks include picnic facilities, basketball and tennis courts, athletic fields, a Frisbee golf course, playground equipment, a sled hill and trails.
To honor those that have served this great country, the Village of Shorewood has built a Veteran’s Memorial at the entrance to Towne Center. Directly adjacent to the Memorial is the Towne Center Park, complete with an amphitheater, playground equipment and splash pad.
Coming together as a community to enjoy Festivals, family, friends and fun is vital to our Village. Shorewood's calendar is packed with opportunities for concerts, movies and events designed to bring our residents the best recreation options available. Our priority is always to provide the best value to our residents so partnerships and sponsorships make up the bulk of our programming budget. Whether you join us for a "Party In The Park", our Annual Cardboard Board Regatta, the Spring or Fall Fishing Derby, the almost four decade long tradition of Crossroads Fest, or any of our events that take place every month of the year, Shorewood has something to make each member of your family smile. Come out and see why we believe Shorewood is the best place to live, work and play!
