Village of Shorewood Photo Contest

The Village of Shorewood is holding its first-ever photo contest, which will run from May 20, 2023, through June 19, 2023!

Participants have the option to submit a maximum of three (3) photos of their favorite scenes in Shorewood and have the option to vote for their favorite picture through a survey after the photo contest is closed. A poll will be created and shared with the community to vote between June 20, 2023, and June 30, 2023.

What to Enter

While there are no set categories for the photo contest, some participants might find these photo guidelines helpful. Pictures submissions can capture:

Community Spirit: Community events, gatherings, recreation programs, and events (parties in the park, artisan markets, holiday markets, etc.)

Nature Views: Trees, rivers, sunsets, flowers—anything pretty you captured outside in Shorewood

All photos submitted should include a one-sentence description of the image. Please also include the name of the photographer, the date of the photo, and the location.

How to Enter

Participants should submit their photos digitally through our the Village of Shorewood Photo Contest form anytime between May 20, 2023, and June 19, 2023. The form will be available on May 20, 2023, and be posted here on our website.

Judging & Prizes

Judging will take place following the submittal period on June 20, 2023. Photos will be judged on their originality and subject matter relevance. Preliminary judging will be made by Village staff before a maximum of 25 photos are brought to the community for voting.

Gift certificates will be awarded to the photographers of the top 3 photos. The top 3 photos will also be featured on the Village's social media pages.

1st place prize: $100 gift certificate to a Shorewood Business of your choice; photo feature on the Village's social media pages
2nd place prize: $50 gift certificate to a Shorewood Business of your choice; photo feature on the Village's social media pages
3rd place price: $25 gift certificate to a Shorewood Business of your choice; photo feature on the Village's social media pages
