Emergency Alerts
Shorewood residents can sign up for community alerts from the Shorewood Police Department through Nixle.
Nixle is an open communication forum that enables real-time, two-way communication through text, email, voice messages, social media, and the Nixle mobile app. The Village of Shorewood currently using Nixle for severe weather alerts.
Follow these steps to sign up for community alerts:
- Go to https://local.nixle.com/register/ to register
- Choose how you would like to receive an alert
- Choose Shorewood, IL
- Automatic weather advisories and alerts will be sent to your phone and/or email from the Shorewood Police Department
