Planning & Zoning Division
The Planning & Zoning Department maintains and implements the Village’s Comprehensive Plan, other specialized planning documents (including Specific Plans), and the Zoning Ordinance. The Department reviews development requests for conformance with the Village’s development regulations and also monitors and analyzes regional planning issues to determine their impact on the Village. The Department provides staff support to the Planning & Zoning Commission, and Village Board through the processing of rezoning, subdivisions, site plan reviews, use permits, variances, and other entitlements as shown on our Active Projects Map. In addition, the Department provides zoning reviews on building permits of all types regardless of the size of the project (including residential construction permits).
