With 18 Parks situated on over 207 acres of land, the Village of Shorewood takes having fun very seriously! Whether you are looking for biking or running trails, softball diamonds, an 18-hole Disc Golf Course, playgrounds or tennis courts, we have a park for you. If you are a kayak enthusiast or an angler with hopes of catching “The Big One”, the beautiful DuPage River is waiting for you with multiple access points in our Parks. And if you are looking for fun Festivals, informative classes and Family Friendly Events, you are definitely in the right place.

Our goal is to provide diverse year-round leisure opportunities through the preservation of open space, park settings, recreational programs and special events for the citizens of Shorewood and our visiting neighbors.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Shorewood Parks and Recreation Department is to provide diverse year-round leisure opportunities through the preservation of open space, park settings, recreational programs and special events for the citizens of Shorewood. The benefit of leisure services are especially designed to meet the physical, mental, cultural, and social needs of our residents and visitors to our community, while enhancing the overall quality of life in Shorewood.
