The Village of Shorewood

The Village of Shorewood is an Illinois municipality incorporated on November 27, 1957. The current residential population is approximately 16,000 people. The village is located approximately 40 miles southwest of downtown Chicago at the intersection of Interstate 55 and Interstate 80, with Interstate 355 to the east.  This provides easy access to the entire Chicago land area. 

Shorewood is a financially stable community boasting an AA+ bond rating from Standard and Poors and Aa1 from Moody’s.
