Shorewood is a thriving, family-friendly community that provides amenities for its residents and businesses, including excellent regional access and open spaces. A comfortable and safe community, Shorewood continues to evolve and grow with options for residents to dine, shop, reside, gather, and recreate. The Village works to enhance its local assets, create opportunities with public and private partners, and continuously improve natural and recreational areas available to its residents.

Shorewood Events Year-round, our Parks and Recreation Department plans events for all generations in our community. The most well-known events in Shorewood are our annual OktoBREWfest, Holiday Market, BBQ and Brews, Cardboard Boat Regatta, Fall and Spring Garage Sales, Memorial Day Ceremony, Parties in Park, and Artisan Market.

Shorewood Services
The Village is committed to improving and maintaining the quality of life of our residents through the services provided by each department under the leadership of our Village Board and Mayor. As a Shorewood resident, you are provided with Village services that include code enforcement, building permits and inspections, garbage and recycling, leaf collection programs, mosquito abatement, parks and amenities, parkway tree replacement, snow and ice removal, and water and sewer.

  1. The Village website is consistently updated with news, events, and meetings happening in town. Residents can keep up with these updates by signing up for eNotify, a website feature that notifies residents when an update is made to the website calendar, news section, or select website pages via email or text message.   2. The Village eNews is sent out via email every Friday at 4 p.m. These emails feature available programs and events from the Parks and Recreation Department and community news. Visit our Village eNews page to sign up for updates.
  3. The Village uses Facebook and Instagram to share pictures from programs and events, along with news and seasonal reminders. Visit our social media pages to follow our updates. 
  4. The Village publishes a quarterly newsletter called the Shorewood Connection. The newsletter includes department updates, project updates, events, programs, and seasonal reminders. Visit the Parks and Recreation department page section to see the latest edition.
